DEREK CRUZ | BIOGRAPHY

DEREK CRUZ,grew up in the Jamaica and Woodhaven area of Queens, New York. Derek was raised by parents with military backgrounds, that made a note to show him discipline, respect, and where he came from.
Upon losing his paternal figure, he started to explore the streets and was exposed to violence, graffiti, trafficking, and fashion. These life experiences, while not all positive, helped Derek progress and mature to eventually find his path in life.

While attending and graduating Richmond Hill High School, he started his career as a self-taught sound engineer and songwriter. Eventually earning an Associates in Applied Science degree in Music Production. Currently, he works a freelance photographer, voice actor, and sound engineer.
