Wow that was rough read, I enjoy it but lots of shocking moments. It's real life in fictional way! It's true-life lessons that can happen to lots of us between love and hatred. The story is so powerful and raw, I never read something like that before. It got so emotional that my eyes were full of tears and lots of action happened that kept me on the edge of my seat.. I really appreciate the brave words and writing. It's great read highly recommended. Check out for contact warning!

As a Native New Yorker, it very easy to relate with the stories being told and to identify with each character. Mr. Lyric Hawkins has truly done an absolutely great job at capturing crime related events and situations in the very same urban environment that has produced so many Hip-Hop and R-N-B Artist with related but very different backgrounds and upbringings. Leaving special life learned lessons for every situation he's encountered, and he give it to you unapologetically, uncensored and raw! Outstanding Story...!

ABSOLUTELY UNAPPOLOGETIC AND UNCENSORED RAW - NEW YORK CITY, NY | DEREK CRUZ

This is a very different read. The way this story is written and formatted with rawness and straight forward writing and storytelling left me with so much to take away from. There's this charm in it that gives a feeling as if the story is being told to you directly versus just reading a story. As a person who also grew up in South Queens & Brooklyn portion of NYC, I couldn't help but absorb and relate with the author. Life is harsh, but this story and one's like it are a nice reminder there's more to life than your situation. I highly recommend this book whether you're from the hood, the suburbs, or anywhere in between.
